Hello CBO…
At the end of one of my round table discussions for construction business owners, one of the attendees came up to me and started a conversation that went like this:
“When you said you help people who are uncertain that the things they do every day are leading to the long term results they want…well, that’s me.
I get to work on Mondays and I already feel like I’m behind.
Then on Friday nights when I leave the office, I haven’t caught up.
I know I should be focused on the big picture, but I hardly ever get to that.
I barely get to do the things I planned for each day because I spend so much time putting out fires. I’m thankful that we are busy and making money, but honestly I don’t know where the business is headed in the long run.”
If this CBO’s story feels familiar, it’s worth spending 60 seconds to consider this question:
What should I be doing every day to make sure my business continues to be successful?
Don’t just consider revenues, but also how your business will run in the future, how much time you will want to put in every day for the rest of your career, and how much value you’ll create in the process. Even if it’s making money, your business won’t have any value without you if you are at the center of every process and decision.
I bet your vision for the future does not include you chained to your desk until your last day. If you could use a strategy boost to help you clarify your vision, here’s what to do:
Book in for an Exploratory Call with me.
You and me.
One on One.
30 Minutes.
Working on Your Business.
I’ll walk you through how to identify the structural weaknesses in your business—the things that can’t operate without your direct involvement, so you know what you need to change or fix. At the end of the call I will let you know how you can get more help if you need it.
